Do It Anyway

​People are often unreasonable, illogical,
​and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.

Luke 6:37

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged:
​condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

If you are kind, people may accuse you
​of selfish ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.

Ephesians 4:31-32

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

If you are successful, you will win some
​false friends and some true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

Joshua 1:8

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you.
Be honest and frank anyway.

Proverbs 8:6-7a

Hear; for I will speak of excellent things;
​and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
​For my mouth shall speak truth;

What you spend years building,
someone could destroy overnight.
Build anyway.

John 10:10

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

If you find serenity and happiness,
​people will be jealous.
Be happy anyway.

Psalm 128:1-2

Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

The good you do today,
​people will often forget tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Luke 6:27-28

But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
Bless them that curse you,
and pray for them which despitefully use you.

Give the world the best you have,
and it may never be enough.
Give the best you've got anyway.

I Corinthians 15:58

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

In the final analysis it is between you and God;
It is never between you and them anyway.

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance:
